Irish Open Putting Clare to the Fore
We are proud to be associated with the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open which is a prestigious event on the Irish sporting calendar.
We have worked closely with Lahinch Golf Club, An Garda Síochána, The European Tour, Dubai Duty Free, HSE, the local community and others to ensure that visitors to Lahinch enjoy their experience and will consider returning in the future to explore all of what County Clare has to offer.
For a large-scale event such as the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, it is important that visitors to Lahinch play their part to help reduce the environmental impact on the local environment.
A Traffic Management Plan is in place to ensure that all visitors to County Clare enjoy a stress free journey to and from North Clare during the event.
- Live up-dates on Clare County Council Twitter account
- Travel information, Park and Ride Timetables and Traffic Diversions
Clare County Council has played its part in making Lahinch and the wider North Clare area a welcoming and attractive location for the tens of thousands of visitors heading to the county for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, with many infrastructural improvement works carried out in the lead up to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.
We have organised an entertainment-filled Family Fest, coinciding with the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.
Among the golfers confirmed as joining the field for this year’s European Tour Rolex Series event, hosted by Paul McGinley, are Louis Oosthuizen, Padraig Harrington, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Danny Willett and Lee Westwood.
